HISTORY AND EVOLUTION
Founded in 2011 with 1 car, Ikar is now a well-established car rental company with a fleet of 35 vehicles.
We have served more than XXXX clients during these years with a gradual increase in our foreign customers. Today our client base consists of 50% Mauritians and 50% tourists.
We have welcomed tourists from France, Reunion Island, Korea, England, South Africa, Russia etc.
HISTORY AND EVOLUTION
Currently our services comprise of vehicle rental. Ikar proposes a wide range of vehicles for rent: Compact, Hatchback, Sedan, Crossover, SUV, Seven seaters & scooter.
Recently scooters have also been added to the company fleet.Since the beginning of the year, airport transfer is also being proposed as a new service.
THE DEVELOPMENT
Since March 2024, Ikar has undertaken a scaling up phase and the 1st step has been to set theoffice at Chemin vingt pieds, Grand Bay.
The 2nd step has been to recruit new personnel in order to optimize our development and service.The 3rd phase has been to add to our vehicle fleet with the purchase of 9 new cars, 7-seaters and SUVs which will join our fleet as from June 2024.
The latest stage is to develop Ikar’s tour operator offering by adding:
- Accomodation
- Guided tours and excursions
